Reden wir über Europa!

So wie Europa jetzt als Europäische Union funktioniert, gefällt es uns nicht.
Es ist nicht unser Europa.
Es ist nicht demokratisch.
Es zeigt nicht unsere Wirklichkeit.
Es verkommt zur medialen Behauptung und zur Manipulation.
Es ist Zeit, das zu ändern.

Wir wollen nicht hinaus aus dieser Europäischen Union.
Wir wollen im Gegenteil von dieser Europäischen Union als ihre Bürgerinnen und Bürger dringend die großen Werte einfordern, auf die sie sich verpflichtet hat:
– Menschenwürde
– Gleichheit
– soziale Gerechtigkeit
– Demokratie
– Nachhaltigkeit

Wir nehmen nicht mehr hin, dass unser Europa nach den Wünschen von demokratisch nicht legitimierten Lobbyisten gestaltet wird.

Reden wir über Europa und darüber, wie wir es ändern können.
Wie wir uns als Bürgerinnen und Bürger Gehör verschaffen können.
Wie wir unser Europa nach den Visionen mitgestalten können, die ja am Anfang dieser Europäischen Union gestanden sind.

Projekt E58 von Ganna Filatova und Michael Bliem

Das Künstlerpaar hat von Herbst 2013 bis Frühjahr 2014 in mehreren Etappen die E58 abgefahren.

Ganna Filatova schrieb:
“E58 is a road, connecting Vienna and Rostov on Don, Russia, passing Austria, Slovakia, West Ukraine, Romania, Moldavia, south and east of Ukraine and south of Russia. This route is very interesting from many points of view – as a way, which knits together countries which are divided with national and Shengen borders, previously – it crossed Soviet Union border; also as a historical path – as it used to be important once and is abandoned nowadays. For me it has personal importance, as one part of my family comes from Rostov on Don, another – from west of Ukraine, and my partner is resident in Vienna now, so it is a kin line for me.”

Im Dezember haben sich Ganna und Michael längere Zeit in Kiev aufgehalten. Michael Bliem hat am Maidan Videointervews gemacht und plante eine Dialogveranstaltung. Ich wollte das Haus der Europäischen Union in der Wipplingerstraße dafür als Partner gewinnen, stieß jedoch auf unüberwindliche Barrieren und im Grunde Desinteresse. Also fanden nur Gespräche in kleinem Kreis und im öffentlichen Raum statt.

Anfang April setzte das Künstlerpaar ihr Projekt fort. Ganna Filatova schrieb aus der Ukraine:
” Considering the last events between Russia, Ukraine and European Union, we find it is the very right time discover, reveal and revive ways of connection between us all. We will make the voyage this spring, already started from Vienna, now are in Carpathian mountains in Ukraine, and heading out to Rostov on Don in May. We did not have enough time to prepare and find eligible grants for this project, so we make now on our on cost. But we are convinced it is important to make it, and hope we will succeed, though news form the Ukranian-Russian border are worrying. Do you think there are institutions that could support this project, whom we should contact? ”

Ich versuchte über alle möglichen Kanäle Unterstützung des Projekts und Präsentationsmöglichkeit zu erreichen. Aber vergebens.
